thinking about how that solavellan ending actually Works for lavellans who want that hopeful ending but arent as forgiving abt the whole situation as veilguard presented it. and i do think in ashara's case, yes, she goes with him out of love, but more so out of duty. post trespasser she drops the name lavellan in favor of her family name, dhavise, since her place in the clan had already been cast into question and her allegiances with the chantry/solas are cause for doubt as to whether she's even welcome back anymore. but i think by the end of veilguard she's reaffirmed her identity as Lavellan no matter what, and truly does see herself as the Keeper of not just her own clan but of her whole modern people, and with that rekindled purpose she chooses to watch over them all by way of watching over fen'harel. protecting them by protecting him from himself. which ironically is the reason the dalish HAVE keepers in the first place

28. During the Landsmeet, who did the Warden choose to rule Ferelden and why? How did they come to that decision?

aedan cousland chooses anora to rule ferelden, and sets himself up to be her prince-consort. he leans towards supporting anora rather than alistair because quite simply, aedan's hyperaware of the fact that alistair's only qualification for king is the fact he has theirin blood. he admires anora's political acumen - he's as aware as anyone is that she's basically been running the country for cailan for years - and a regime change in the middle of the blight does not seem like a great idea to him. aedan also thinks that alistair is sharp-witted, clever, knowledgeable but he wasn't raised for leadership, shows reluctance for it, and arguably most importantly, is only considering the role in the first place because eamon is pushing for it. putting alistair on the throne gives the guerrins too much sway over throne. he doesn't really have anything personally against alistair - exiles him, since he refuses to stay with the wardens when aedan conscripts loghain (in order to be able to marry anora) (and of course, to justify his taking of the place of prince-consort, he has to fight loghain - alistair fighting loghain would lend credence to his claim to the throne), attempted to wrest the throne from anora and aedan himself and failed - but alistair dislikes him deeply for a wide variety of reasons.

31. What are Hawke's thoughts on Meredith, Orsino and Elthina?

muna hawke quite rightly lives in fear of meredith - carver ends up joining the templars, and she doesn't have such a great relationship with him, and she's both terrified of getting dragged to the circle, and terrified that meredith will leverage carver against her somehow - which she does, in act 3. as for elthina, muna's unfailingly polite to the both of them (to everyone, really - she has a diplomatic personality), but i think she's very frustrated by elthina's refusal to do anything, in a way that i find interesting, because arguably, as hawke, muna also has the freedom to act, but never feels like she does, on account of her being an apostate being an open secret by act 3. orsino makes her uncomfortable - it's too startling a reminder of how her life could have been, or could have gone, which is where her discomfort is, and she identifies too closely with his choked feelings of helplessness.

3. What was their life like before the Conclave? Did they have friends and family?

han lavellan had a whole life before the conclave! he was taken to the ostwick circle when he was young, and escaped in his late teenage years so his return to the clan meant resuming his duties as the keeper's first, picking up all the studies that he'd missed in his years of captivity. han is... not always personable, a little strict/firm, so he doesn't have a wide group of friends, but he has a close group of friends - ghilana, ankur - and most enjoys spending his little free time with his twin sister, ellana who always drags their cousin, marya, along as well.

probably solas. matilda is both inexperienced and sort of timid when it comes to intimate... stuff. whereas solas is in all probability Very experienced and also desperate. 

💘 what do they love most about their partner? what do their partner love most about them?

love MOST????? auuuugh uh matilda loves the confidence with which he holds his convictions. he doesn’t waver when he knows he’s right or apologize for unpopular opinions, and when he’s wrong he usually admits it pretty freely. she’s the same way so she really respects that

solas loves the genuine kindness and respect with which she treats just about everyone. aside from people who have caused real human suffering, even those who would otherwise hurt or dehumanize her, she still approaches without hostility. 

💜 give a random fact about their daily life together!

they constantly disappear together, to the point where it’s annoying or frustrating for everyone else. yes they do it while in the field, too. ESPECIALLY while in the field. they go on little exploration adventures for hours, sometimes overnight, once or twice even multiple days. yes, finding ruins to dream in, but also just to meet people and see glorious sunsets. 

if solas had his own way he’d spend the rest of his life doing that with her :)

Inquisitors

So I just learned that you can run multiple play-throughs at the same time wow i know so... yeah, I’ve been making a lot of new Inquisitors entirely elves

Here they are!

Ellana Lavellan. 29. First to Keeper Deshanna. Knight Enchanter. Former wife of Mahanon Lavellan, who died at the Conclave, and mother of Fendis, who died as a young boy. Later, wife of Cullen Stanton Rutherford. Forever banished from the Clan for her marriage to a shemlen. Sarcastic piece of shit. Besties with Bull, Vivienne and Varric, though she has a soft spot for Blackwall and Sera. Originally from one of the Rivaini clans on mainland Rivain but at the Arlathvhen was sent to join Clan Lavellan at the age of thirteen due to their shortage of mages.

Theneras Lavellan. 29. Hunter and blacksmith of Clan Lavellan. Twin brother of Ellana. Bisexual disaster who is far too mischievous for his own good. In love with a certain Tevinter mage, who actively disliked him for a while due to his insatiable flirting with Cassandra. Created a close knit group of idiots with Sera, Bull, Varric and Dorian. Joined his sister in banishment from Clan Lavellan, as although the Clan adored him, he too fell in love with a shemlen.

Ghilana Lavellan. 36. One of Clan Lavellan’s best hunters, known for keeping the peace when the Clan bumped into hostile shemlen. Altogether a diplomatic and inquisitive soul, many of her Clan were surprised when she chose to dedicate her studies and Vallaslin to Dirthamen, the God of Trickery and Secrets, which she maintains was down to her love of gaining knowledge through less than legal means, such as stealing manuscripts from shemlen libraries. Originally a city elf from Starkhaven, Ghilana joined the clan as a young girl when her parents fled the alienage to escape poverty and the executioner’s axe after her father took the blame for her stealing. Loves eggs, even if they take her vallaslin, leave her heart and then amputate her arm. Close with Solas obviously, Vivienne, Josephine and Cassandra, even if they do have their spats over their differing worldviews, though doesn’t get along well with Sera, Bull or Varric, finding them too untrustworthy.
